I am aware that, in the hispanic world, religion has significantly changed since the past, and customs and practices are becoming more and more modern as time passes. This change has been a result of the influence of many countries and religions around the world, including politics and the development of new technology. The influence of technology plays a very important role in religion nowadays, because people rely on their mobile phones which has especially had an effect on the younger generation who now spend more time on their devices than in the real world. It is also less likely that young people attend church and mass in the future as a result of the religious controversy present on social media. It is evident that in Cuba, the percentage of cuban catholics has lowered to 75% whereas in the past it was 90%. In order to compensate for this loss, in some churches, traditional religious services have changed, and the introduction of music such as christian rock has attracted more young people.

As far as I know, the situation for the LGBT community has improved, and notable changes and advancements in the rights of the LGBT community have occurred in some hispanic countries. For example, several countries in Latin America have made significant progress to help out the community such as the legalisation of same-sex marriage, the implementation of laws against discrimination of the LGBT community, and the promotion of gay rights.
