After death, Simon body becomes a work of art
connoting precious innocence and establish him as a concept of goodness rather than a real character.
The Island:

The simile shows the forest is an

angry at the boys savage actions.
The beast:

Jack exploits the boys psychological fears of
the beast to gain more power.
Hunting:

Jack fails in his first attempt to kill a pig

makes him more determined not to hesitate
on the next occasion.
The conch:

The conch is initially seen as a sacred object
which bestows a mysterious power onto
whoever is in possession of it.

Piggy’s hair remains unchanged in the novel which links to how he manages to retain his moral compass while the other boys descend into savagery.
Jack:
