- Dr James Watson and other revolutionaries planned a rebellion
- government spy George Edwards infiltrated conspiracy
- Arthur Thistlewood and 4 accomplices arrested at meeting in Cato Street for high treason and were executed

- Caroline wanted to claim her position as Queen
- Whigs and radicals supported Caroline’s claim
- Caroline became symbol of radical cause
- Caroline stopped from entering Coronation service and died of fever 3 weeks later
