the top current mirror removes the resistors and joins both sides of the long tail pair together . The current mirror at the top removes common mode voltage change gets cancelled at the output due to the mirror

when the current increases in the common mode gain increases it the current in the current source so more voltage is dropped across the the current mirrors.
