What is a waterfall??
A cascade of water falling at height formed when a stream of river falls over a prepice or a steep incline. Found in the Upper Course
What is a meander??
A winding curve or bend in the river and they are both erosional and Depositional processes
What is an oxbow lake??
A crescent shape lying next to a river. The lake is created over time as erosion and deposits of soil change the shape of the rivers course
What is a Levee??
It is a natural or artificial wall that blocks water from going where it shouldn’t be going. It is commonly used as a flood defence
What is a flood plain??
A generally flat area of land next to a river or stream. This allows the water to burst its banks and flood the land without damaging propoties
