Using a part to make an inaccurate claim about a whole
Hasty Generalization (stereotype)
Suggesting that one event will automatically lead to a chain of other events
Slippery slope (domino affect)
Something that distracts from the issue being argued about.
Red Herring (distraction)
Defending a claim with a biased or untrustworthy source
False Authority
Stating conclusion thy does not follow from the premises
Non sequitur
Improperly ten if an accusation back on the accuser
Tu Quoque
Mary has no credibility on the smoking ban issue because she was once a smoker herself
Ad hominem
Over one thousand people have decided to sign up, so you should too
