Q

log

A

log is the opposite of exponents. log2(128) = y → how many times do I need to multiply 2 by to get 128 → log2(128) = 2^y = 128 → 2^7 = 128

Q

multiplication rule

A
Log a (x y ) = log a (x) + log a (y)
Log2(1024) = y → 2^y = 1024 → y 10
Lg(216)
= lg (8x27)
= lg(2^3 x 3^3)
= log2 (2^3) + lg 3^3
= 3lg2 + 3 lg^3
= 3 + 3lg^3 //
