Participants
45 college students at the University at the university of Washington, Seattle tested in groups of various sizes. For test purposes it was designed so that there would be 5 conditions in total with 9 students per condition
Procedure
45 participants all viewed a road safety ad. After they viewed it, they were asked a series of Qs. They were all deceptions for Q2; which wording changed. It asked at what speed cars crashed. They changed the middle word. And looked to see how this effected there answers

What was the estimated speed for “Smashed?”
40.8 mph
What was the estimated speed for “Collided”?

Criticisms
Relatively small sample size. All from the same uni and city
Individual differences, therefore had impact on results
