Polonius dished advice but cannot take it himself. He spied on children and Hamlet- he does not ever speak truth.
Ghost Act 1 Scene 5- “That ….., that ….. beast, with witchcraft of his wit, with ……. gifts”
That incestuous, that adulterate beast, with witchcraft of his wit, with traitorous gifts.
Like hamlet, the ghost dwells of Gertrude’s virtue. He sees their marriage as a betrayal. Gertrude’s remarriage makes their marriage a scam.

Hamlet hides guilt through masquerade of happiness.
Polonius Act 2 Scene 1- “You laying these ……. ……… on my son, as twere a thing a little …….. i’ the ………”
You laying these slight sullies on my son as twere a thing a little soiled i’ the working.
Polonius instructs his servant to spread reimbursement about Laertes to find out what he’s up to. Corrupt ways but Hamlet does the same to find out about Claudius.
Polonius Act 2 Scene 2- “Be you and …. behind an ….. then”
Be you and I behind an arras then.
Colluding with the king to deceive Hamlet ends up killing him anyway.
Hamlet Act 3 Scene 1- “you were …. …..”
You were sent for
Hamlet knows his friends try to deceive him
Hamlet- “You were….. for”
You were sent for
He knows Guildenstern and Rosencrantz are trying to deceive him.
