A
-the sense we each have about what directs events in our lives

what do internals believe?
A
- that what happens to them is largely controlled and directed by themselves; they are responsible
- they are more likely to be confident, intelligent, have high self esteem and have less need for social approval;

-they have a tendency to believe that things happen without their control and are a matter of luck or other outside forces
