Maintain continuous 2 way VHF contact with ATC

Separation of aircraft should be checked by obtaining
simultaneous VOR/DME readings at frequent intervals

Only within 150 miles of VOR/DME facility (max coverage of
VOR/DME is about 200 miles)

VOR and DME are co located

Aircraft are ‘ on track ’’, i.e. aircraft are flying towards or away
from the same facility.
