a) Rheumatoid arthritis; primary joints
b) Systemic Lupus connective tissue disorder. Chronic autoimmune inflammatory disease

d) Reiter’s Syndrome
Triad of Symptoms
a) Urethritis- Inflammation of urethra
b) Conjunctivitis- Information of eyelid membrane

Acute Neuritis of Trigeminal Neuralgia
-Inflammation of nerve
Aneurysms, deemed life threatening
- Sac formed by dilation of artery or vein wall
- Stretched beyond normal can cause it to burst
- Avoid massaging over any mass that is pulsating
Sepsis
- Infection In blood or tissue
- Massage may spread it
Ectopic Pregnancy
- Fertilize ovum develops outside of your uterine cavity
- Massage may rupture area where fetus
- No abdominal massage
- Avoid massaging a high risk pregnancy
Esophageal Varicosity
- In large and twisted Vein that supplies esophagus
- Avoid abdominal massage
- Seen in alcoholics
Frostbite
- Tissue damage resulting from extreme low temperature exposure can lead to gangrene
- Massage therapy can injure area more or spread it
Local contagious condition
-May spread it or catch yourself
Local irritable skin condition
-Avoid irritating that area
Malignancy- especially if judged unstable
-Tending to become much worse and massage can spread it
Open Sore or Wound
- oil may infect it
Phlebitis
Inflammation of vein
Phleobothrombosis
Presence of blood clotting vein
Arthritis
- Inflammation of artery
- Massage may be general contraindication if in a major area because increase circulation may spread it
Recent burn
May infect it
