What does mentoring mean?
- Manager sharing their knowledge to another person to help their skills develop
- Experienced person provides advice and feedback
What does monitoring mean?
-Checking the quality of care over time
- Observations and asking the opinions of others to improve the work e.g. surveys and questionnaires
What does performance management mean?
-An ongoing process between a manager and care worker which can involve meetings, observations and feedback to improve work and identify targets
What are staff meetings?
- Opportunity to share best practice and discuss what went well
- Concerns and issues can be shared to solve problems
- Reminders of policies are given and updates on general information
