Damaged flooring can cause bruising and fractures

Poor levels of hygiene can cause the spread of infection and diseases

Cleaning materials being stored or used incorrectly can cause serious physical harm

Working long hours can lead to fatigue and stress

Temperature- Work environment being too hot can cause dehydration

Lack of supervision of new staff increases the chance of accidents

Alarm systems and locks to prevent unauthorized access who could be a threat

How can hazards effect employees?
Can develop mental health illnesses, stress an high high blood pressure if their work load is heavy.
Can sustain back injuries if they aren’t trained in manual handling
How can hazards effect employers?
Can be taken to court, fined or closed down if in individual is injured due to poor care e.g hoist being damaged and used
How can hazards effect the individual requiring care?
Might not receive adequate care if staff dont do their job properly due to lack of staff or training
Staff who dont maintain high standards of hygiene increase the chances of individuals spreading infections

Non accident injury to the body which can be permanent or temporary
