Whats happens as 4-8 weeks of pregnancy/gestation?
The embryo is 6mm long. The heart and other organs start to form and the heart begins to beat.
Whats happens as 8 weeks of pregnancy/gestation?
Arms begin to grow and toes and eyelids begin to form. The embryo is now called a foetus.
Whats happens as 8-12 weeks of pregnancy/gestation?
The foetus begins to look more like a baby. It is now around 60mm long and starts to move around.
Whats happens as 12-20 weeks of pregnancy/gestation?
The foetus is around 250 mm long. It begins kicking and it can hear sounds outside the uterus.
Whats happens as 20-28 weeks of pregnancy/gestation?
The baby has hair and can open its eyes. There is a high chance the baby would survive f it was born now.

The baby is fully developed and ready to be born. It is now 520mm long.

The fertilised egg divided to form a ball of cells called the embryo

What is a menstrual cycle?
The monthly cycle of changes in the ovaries and the lining of the uterus (endometrium), starting with the preparation of an egg for fertilization.
What is the process of the menstrual cycle?
Days 1-7 the lining of the uterus breaks down and is lost through the vagina
Days 8-14 the uterus lining is being repaired and getting thicker again, the egg is released from the ovary into the oviduct, this is day 14 of the cycle and is called ovulation
Days 14-21 the uterus lining is thick and spongy, ready to receive the egg
How is a baby conceived?
The sperm have a race of which one can get to the egg fastest (this is based on which is strongest and fastest)
