- “The festival is commanded in Torah mitzvot: On the fifteenth day of the seventh month the Lord’s Festival of Tabernacles begins, and lasts for seven days” (Leviticus 23)
- “Count 50 days..And then present an offering of new grain to the Lord” (Leviticus 23)
