The book is written by Barbara Ehrenreich a journalist who tried to live lik the poorest American workers for a period of time.
She had 3 rules:
1) She could not use her any skills from her education or usaul work to find a job.
2) She should take the highest-paying job and hold it
3) She should take the cheapest accommodations for an acceptable level of safety and privacy.

What is the conclusion of Nickled and Dimed?

A

The conclusion of the experiment is that the expenses are too big compared to her income.
She could cut her rent expense and move into a flophouse but than she is breaking rule 3.
She only earn 2.5 dollars an hour when the low wage is 6-7 dollars an hour.
A positive thing the experiment showed is how the low wage workers helped each other.
