Started when we see a dog stabbed with a garden fork. Gives a dark atmosphere even before house lights were off
Mr sheets ran off with Chris’ mam leaving ed to pick up the pieces. Ed was desperate so faked his mams death

Could suggest danger
But his favourite colour was red and this hints he was feeling safe and excited in what lay ahead
