the art of determining character or personal characteristics from the form or features of the body, especially in the face
physiognomy
a traditional form of English poetry commonly used in epic/narrative poetry, and consisting of a rhyming pair of lines in iambic pentameter
heroic couplet
repetition of grammatical in a a piece of writing to create a harmonious effect
parallelism
poetry that does not rhyme or have a regular meter
free verse
poetry written in unrhymed but metered lines, almost always iambic pentameter
blank verse
technique of satire, which means that it uses irony, exaggeration, and sarcasm to mock its original subject, usually in an undignified manner
mock epic
concise compound or figurative phrase replacing a common noun
kenning
