Inciting incident
Introduces central conflict with the story.
Rising action
Complications arise as characters struggle with conflict.
Climax
The turning point.
Falling action
When the action winds down.
Resolution/Denouement
Occurs after climax where conflicts are resolved.
Subplot
Additional minor plot that involves secondary conflict.
