Increase tension. Maybe lots is happening or a harsh response

Alliteration
The occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of words.
Cliff hanger
A dramatic ending to something, leaving the audience in suspense to find out what will happen.
Hyperbole
Over exaggerated statements not to be taken literally
Foreshadowing
Frequent warnings / indications of a future event (often a bad one)
Rhyme
Correspondence of sounds usually at the ending lines of a poem
Simile
A figure of speech involving a comparison between two things using like or as
