Associated with Walt Whitman. Believes every thing has a soul. Even grass. Whitman had a preoccupation with grass.
Romantacism
Associated with Robert Frost. Thrives on emotions, love, lust etc. Not scientific and rejected matters of the brain.
Harlem Renissance
African American - Artists, poets, painters, musicians, writers, etc.
Purpose was to elevate Black artists.

Associated with Allen Ginsberg -
Promoted drug use, it breaks away from tradition and convention.

Ginsberg, Plath and Sexton
Popular idea from Freud. Talking about your pain makes it easier to deal with.

Use of images and imaging to express thought.
