Metaphor
A figure of speech that makes a comparison between two seemingly unlike things without using the words like, as, than, or resembles
Denouement
The resolutions; the clearing up or untying of complications in the plot

Conflict
A struggle or clash between opposing characters, forces, or emotions
Protagonist
The main character in a work of fiction, drama, or narrative poetry
Personification
A kind of metaphor in which a nonhuman thing or quality is talked about as if it were human

Plot
The series of related event s that make up a narrative such as a story, novel, or epic
Character
An individual in a story, play, or narrative poem
Antagonist
The character of force that struggles against or blocks a protagonist
