What is the Antagonist?
Forces that work against the protagonist: nature, other characters, settings, inner thoughts.
What is the Protagonist?
the main character of the story.
What is the Setting?
Where and when a story takes place.
What is the Plot?
The events in a story- what happens to the protagonist makes up the plot.
What is the Climax?
The high point of a story that occurs near the end of the story.
What is the Denouement?
The return to normal for the story that occurs after the climax.
What is the Conflict?
Tensions between characters.
What is the Problem?
Challenges the protagonist faces.
What is the Resolution?
The outcome of trying to solve conflicts.
What is the Theme?
Ideas from a story that can generally be applied to the outside world.
What is the Central Idea?
A theme that’s threaded through the entire piece.
