Setting is where and when a story takes place.
What is an antagonist?
The antagonist is the “bad guy”.
What is characterization?
Characterization is how a character is portrayed in a story.
What is direct characterization?
Direct characterization is when the author directly tells the reader about a character.
What is indirect characterization?
Indirect characterization is when the author shows the reader about the character by explaining their personality.
What is character motivation?
Character motivation is the driving force behind why a character does what he/she does.
What is plot?
Plot is the events that take place in a story.
What is exposition?
Exposition is the beginning of a story.
What is rising action?
Rising action is what leading up to the climax.
What is climax?
Climax is the plot twist of a story.
What is falling action?
Falling action is what happens leading up to the resolution.
What is resolution?
Resolution is the ending of a story.
What is conflict?
Conflict is a battle between two forces.
