It reflects repitition in two or more nearby words of initial consonant sounds. “Blue bees buzzing”
Alliteration
The removal of an unstressed syllable or consonant form of a word or prase with the intention of decreasing the number of syllables or letters in a word. “Fish n’ chips”
Elision
A figure of speech where two vastly different objects are likened to one another by similes and metaphors. “life is like a box of chocolates”
Conceit
Figure of speech featuring a phrase that utilizes negative wording or terms to express a positive assertion or statement. “sometimes the right path isnt the easiest path”
Litotes
A reference, typically brief, to a person, place, thing, event, or other literary work with thich the reader is presumaly familiar. “A spring clean for the may queen”
Allusion
Set of rules used in language, the rules define how a sentence is fornes and how the meaning is protrayed.
Syntax
A lit device designed to illustrate or reveal information, traits, values, or motivations of one character trough the comparison and contrast of another character. “donkey and shrek”
Foil
meaning that is implied by a word
connotation
A fig of speech in which you replace one idea with another simaler object orr word :redcoats for brits”
Metonomy
A story or idea that had a hidden meaning, “like the terrible things from watsons class and the lion which and wardrobe with the bible”
