A
  • Always male
  • may be born from unusual circumstances (virgin mother)
  • escapes an attempt of murder against him
  • returns to homeland (after a victory over an antagonist)
  • marries a princess, becomes king and later dies a mysterious death or gets banished
  • may involve a journey where hero has to answer riddles, find a sacred or powerful artifact, or battle superhuman creatures to save someone else
