Consonance
Repetition of identical consonant sounds within two or more words in close proximity
Connotation
Ideas or qualities that are implied by a word
Cumulative
Sentence which begins with the main idea and then expands on that idea with a series of details or other particulars

Elliptical
Sentence structure which leaves out something in the second half, usually there is a subject-verb-object combination in the first half of the sentence, and the second half of the sentence will repeat the structure but omit the verb and use a comma to indicate elipted material

A quotation or aphorism at the beginning of a literary work suggestive of the theme
Equivocation
To speak in a way that is intentionally not clear an confusing to other people, especially to hide the truth

The art of interpreting or discovering the meaning of a text
Figurative Language
Writing or speech that is not intended to carry literal meaning and is usually meant to be imaginative and vivid
