exposition

The second of six essential plot elements, which comes right after the opening of a story, otherwise known as the exposition
conflict
A serious disagreement or argument, typically a protracted one
climax
the most intense, exciting, or important point of something; a culmination or apex
denouement
he final part of a play, movie, or narrative in which the strands of the plot are drawn together and matters are explained or resolved
protagonist
the leading character or one of the major characters in a drama, movie, novel, or other fictional text
atagonist
a person who actively opposes or is hostile to someone or something; an adversary
setting
the place or type of surroundings where something is positioned or where an event takes place
mood
a temporary state of mind or feeling
point of view
a particular attitude or way of considering a matter
characterization
the creation or construction of a fictional character
flat/dynamic character
two-dimensional in that they are relatively uncomplicated and do not change throughout the course of a work
round/static character
A deep and layered character in a story
flashback
a scene in a movie, novel, etc., set in a time earlier than the main story
