Antagonist
The character or non-human force that opposes the leading character (the protagonist)
Character
A figure in a work of literature 
Characterisation
How a character is depicted in the text 
Conflict 
The struggle between opposing force in a story, it maybe internal or external 
Drama 
A work of literature in which action is performed, and all words are spoken before an audience by an actor/actors who are impersonating the characters.
Plot
The sequences of events of action in a story (exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution )
Protagonist
The central character in a story. 
Setting
The time and place of action in a story. 
Symbol
A person, place, object, or idea that stands for something else; generally, the symbol is something concrete standing for something abstract 
Theme
The central idea of literary work.
Direct characterisation
“Telling”
The author directly describes the character through narration (physical appearance, personality, things that motivate them)
Indirect characterization
“Showing”
The author indirectly hints to the reader, what the character is like by describing the characters appearance, speech, thoughts /feelings ,interactions with the environment /other characters
