Storing information for a small amount of time

Storing information for a long amount of time– may be a memorable event
Long term memory
is the stage of listening process in which the listener provides verbal or nonverbal reactions
Responding
Reaction without the use of words. only body language and gestures
Nonverbal reaction
Reaction with the use of words
Verbal reaction
listening for enjoyment, appreciation, and pleasure
Appreciative
listening empathically to show concern (putting yourself in others’ perspective)
Empathic
listen to understand/comprehend the message, uses active listening
Comprehensive
listening to evaluate the content of the message– to judge or criticize
Analytical
Act of analyzing facts to understand a problem or topic thoroughly
Critical thinking
The first step to solving a problem, the stage where you listen and process the problem
Understanding the problem
The second stage where you find the cause of the problem
Identify the root cause of the problem
The third stage where you find the end to the problem
Come up with potential solution
