List UNO Flashcards
Polygon
A closed plane figure formed by 3 or more sides
Convex polygon
A polygon is a convex polygon if and only if no line that contains a side of the polygon also contains a point in the interior of the polygon
Area
The number of square units that fill the space on the interior of a planar figure
Perimeter
The total length of all sides of a polygon
concave polygon
A polygon if it has at least one line that contains a side that also intersects with one or more points that lie within the interior of the polygon
Midsegment of a Triangle
Endpoints are the midpoints of the 2 sides of the triangle
Triangle midsegment theorem
If its a midsegment then it is parallel to the third side and its length is equal to half the length of the third side
Altitude of a triangle
A segment is an altitude of and only If it had one endpoint as a vertex and the other side opposite that vertex and it intersects that side perpendicularly
Median of a triangle
If it has one endpoint as vertex and other as midpoint on side opposite
Ruler Postulate
Points on a line correspond to real numbers uniquely.
Distance between points equals absolute value of number difference.
Coordinate
The real number corresponding to the position of a point on a line or coordinate plane
Slope
Slope of parallel lines
Slope of Perpendicular lines
Parallel postulate
Perpendicular posulate
Perpendicular bisector
Distance froom a point to a line
Partitoning
Midpoint formula
Distance Formula
