Liquor Flashcards
Funktion of CSF
1.Cushing and Protection 2. 3.Reservoir+Control 4.Nourisches CNS 5.Metabolic Waste Removal 6.Hormon Carrier
Volume of CSF
130 ml
Daily Production
550ml/tag
Pressure of CSF
During Lumbalpuncte we could measure that.
Around 60-160mm H2O
Lumbalpuncture(CSF Sample)
Patient lying on the Couch. L4 Knees should be put on the chest. Struktures pierced: 1.Skin 2.Sucutaneous Fascia 3.Ligaments Supraspinous and Intraspinsous and Flavum 4.Epidural Space 5.Dura Mater 6.Subdural Space 6.Arachnoid matter 7.Subarachnoid Space with CSF
Epidural Space
Cranial-Potential Space
Spinalcord-Real space with lymphozytes,Immun cells
Raised Intracranial Pressure Star
- Headache as soon as you wake up(Unexplained)
- Papilledema
- Projectile Vomiting(Vagus Disturbance->GIT Zentrum disturbed)
- Progressevly Higher BP
- Lower Pulse Rate
Composition of CSF
- Color Of CSF ist Clear
- Cells
1. No RBC
2. No neutrophile
3. few Lymphocytes( less tha 5 per ml^2)
5. Glucose:66% of the Plasmaglucosekonzentration
6. Protein 0,4 g/L(Plasmaprotein 70-80 g/L)
Changes OF CSF by 3 Different INfektions:
- Pyogenic Meningitis
- Tuburkerlose Meningitis
- Viral Meningitis
- Pyogenic Meningitis:
- Yellow CSF
- Neutrophile Cells(Akute Inflammation)
- Lymphozytes Less
- Glucose Low(<50%)
- Proteins:Higher(Permeability disturbtion due to Inflammation)
- Moderate Proteinlevels - Tuberkulose Meningitis
- Turbid and Fibrin Web
- Chronic Inflammation(Neutrophile cells less)
- High Amount of Lymphocytes
- Glucose Low(<50%)->Bacterias love Glucose
- Sever Proteinlevels - Viral:
- Clear CSF
- Less Neutros
- High Amount of Lymphocytes
- Normal Glucose Level
- Mildly Protein Level(lower Level of Permeability destruction)
Hydrocepahlus
Excessive of Spinal fluid within the cranial cavity
Foramen Monro
Cereblum Aqueduct
Central canal
4.Ventrikel(Foramen Luschka 2 of the them and Foramen Majendi) to Subarchnoidal Space and forms Cisterns.
Cisterna Cerebellapontei
Cisterna Magna(Cerebullari medullari cistern)
Interpodenkular Cistern
Cerebrell Podenkel and Cerebellum podenkel
Excessive CSF in Cranial cavity
Hydrocephalus
- Production of CSF Problem
- Problem with CIrculatory SYSTEM(Abnormal CIrculation
- Problem with Drainage
Production of CSF Probelem Causes
1.Tumor of Plexus Choroideus
Abnormal circulation
- Foramen Monro Blockage due to different diseases .For Example Cysts->Only one Ventrikel enlarges
- Cerebro Aquaduct Blockage->Symetically enlargement of lateral Ventrikels and 3.Ventrikel
- Foramen Majendi and Foramen Luschka Blockage->All Ventrikel Enlarged
- Tuberculose Meningitis Scar
Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus
Pacient develops Dementia,Urinary Incontinence and Chait abnormalities(WOBLING)
Brain Shrinks
WACKY WOBLING AND WET.
