For example, in English just 300 words make up 65% of all written material.

Mnemonics
A mnemonic is a tool that helps us remember certain facts or large amounts of information. They can come in the form of a song, rhyme, acronym, image or phrase.
Cognates
In linguistics, cognates, also called lexical cognates, are words that have a common etymological origin.
Phoneme
A phoneme is the smallest unit of sound in speech.
For Example:
In English, there are 44 phonemes, or word sounds that make up the language. They’re divided into 19 consonants, 7 digraphs, 5 ‘r-controlled’ sounds, 5 long vowels, 5 short vowels, 2 ‘oo’ sounds, 2 diphthongs.

An interrogative word or question word is a function word used to ask a question, such as what, which, when, where, who, whom, whose, why, whether and how.

Best way to learn is to not think about grammar and structure. Learn the vocab and start using it with native speakers and learn from how they use sentences.
