Icing conditions exist on ground and for takeoff when
OAT 10C and below and
Visible moisture (including vis <= 1 Mile)
Standing water, snow, slush may be ingested
Icing conditions exist in flight when
Total air temperature 10C or below and
Visible moisture in any form is present
On takeoff or missed approach, do not engage autopilot below
400 feet AGL
Min Altitude for use of autopilot on approach (ILS/GLS coupled approaches, no auto land)
50 feet AGL
Min Altitude for use of autopilot on approach (non-precision approaches)
50 feet below MDA/DA
Do not use LVL CHG on final approach
Below 1000 feet AFE
Runaway stabilizer
- Control column: Hold firmly
- Autopilot (if engaged): Disengage
- Autothrottle (if engaged): Disengage
- Control column & thrust levers: Control airplane pitch attitude & airspeed
- Main electric stabilizer trim: Reduce control column forces
- Choose one:
> The runaway stops after the autopilot is disengaged:- Do not re-engage the autopilot or autothrottle
> The runaway continues after the autopilot is disengaged: - STAB TRIM CUTOUT switches (both): CUTOUT
- If the runaway continues:
- Stabilizer trim wheel: Grasp and hold
- Do not re-engage the autopilot or autothrottle
