CAUTION: Prolonged APU Operations (NR)
Avoid prolonged operation at 94% - 96% NR with the APU running.
APU Operating Limitations (Starts)
APU operation is prohibited during normal flight.
(30 - 2 - 20 - 3)
After a fault/aborted start wait 30 seconds
After 2 consecutive start attempts, wait 20 minutes.
No more than 3 start attempts are permitted in one hour.
CAUTION: XMSN Temp
Do not operate the APU for more than 5 minutes at a XMSN TEMP of 120 - 130°C.
Extended APU Ground Operations
During prolonged ground operations (>30 min), if the temperatures exceed 130°C, shutdown and cool the transmission fluid for 30 minutes prior to resuming APU ground operations.
Maximum Airspeed for Autorotation
145 Knots
Airspeed Limits With One Engine Inoperative
The greater of:
- 67% of VNE
- The airspeed for minimum power from MAX END/MAX R/C lines
Maximum Airspeeds During Manual Stabilator
Operations.
Airspeed restrictions are displayed on the:
- FLT
- FLT SET
- SYS pages
Maximum Rearward/Sideward Airspeed
45 KTA
Maximum Airspeed for Searchlight Extension
- Extend/ retract/rotate <90 knots
* Operation not attempted - extended
Maximum Airspeed for Stores Jettison
- Maximum airspeed for stores jettison is 130 KTAS
- Hover to 45 KTAS (minimize side slip, if possible)
- 45 to 130 KTAS (ball centered, if possible)
Maneuvering Limits
-10 Limit: ±30° in pitch, ±60° in roll
AWR 2006D-A02 : ±60° in pitch, ±120° in roll
Excessive Tail Rotor Scissors Loads
(早)Avoid aggressive directional and lateral control inputs greater than 1 inch/second when conducting combat maneuvers requiring a left turn. This is to prevent excessive tail rotor scissors loads.
Excessive Tail Rotor Loads
(遅)Avoid large pedal step inputs in arresting right hovering/low speed yawing turns greater than 60°/second. This is to prevent excessive tail rotor drive system loads.
Flight with Canopy Enclosure Open
Flight with the canopy open is prohibited, except for smoke/fume elimination.
Landing Limits
Pitch attitude change from a hover greater than:
- 7° up
- 12° down
- 10° roll attitude
- Data is not available beyond above 17,650.
Flight into Turbulence
Prohibited:
- Extreme — known or forecast
- Severe — known
Flight In Icing Conditions
- MODERATE icing — Prohibited (Intentional flight)
- KNOW or FORECAST TRACE or LIGHT icing conditions are authorized and not a hazard unless encountered for an extended period (over one hour).
Use of Force Trim
Force trim will not be selected off except in a FAULTED or PARTIAL FAILED mode.
