Q

Must use Autopilot When

Autoland Required When

A

MUST USE AUTOPILOT:
When visibility is less than 4000 RVR or 3/4, the approach must be flown with the autopilot(s) engaged if operable.

AUTOLAND REQUIRED:
ATIS reported RVR/visibility at or below CAT I Minimums

Furthermore, to minimize the chances of a go around, Frontier policy is to set up and brief for an autoland IF
the reported RVR/visibility is at or below 1/2 mile or 2400 RVR AND all of the requirements for an autoland
can be met (environmental, aircraft approach capability, ground equipment, etc.), the approach will be
briefed and flown as a CAT II or CAT III autoland.
