Limitations Flashcards
Battery Start Limit
-do not attempt battery powered start if voltage is below 23.5
External power limit
do not connect external power if battery power is below 22.0 Volts
Starter Limits
Starter duty cycles (for 20 second cycles with following wait periods)
1st: Motor 20 Seconds, then 30 second cooling
2nd: Motor 20 Seconds, 2 minute cooling
3rd: Motor 20 Seconds, 5 minutes
4th: Motor 20 Seconds, 30 minutes
Generator Limits
Inflight: +50 Amps to -2 Amps
Ground/Flight Voltage: 28.0-28.5
What should you do if generator amp/voltage are consistently outside of the range?
IF voltage is below 25.0, available battery power is degraded and should land as soon as practical
Maximum IOAT
80 C
Avoid what Np range while on the ground?
62-80%
Max airspeed for turbulence and recommended?
195 and 180 KIAS
Operating maneuvering speed
227 (Vo), abrupt maneuvers above this airspeed could result in structural damage
Holding zero-G’s for how long could cause engine damage/ fail?
5 seconds
Due to tolerances what could the G gauges be reading at zero G?
+0.25 to -0.25
How long can you fly inverted?
15 Sec
Max Range AoA (white Triangle)
4.9 Units
Max Endurance AoA (white diamond)
8.8 units
Vmo (max operating speed) and to what altitude?
316 Knots, 18,769’
Vo (maneuvering speed)?
227 Knots, airspeed where over-g can occur with abrupt control inputs
Max Ramp Weight
6550 lbs
Max Takeoff/ Landing weight
6500 lbs
Max zero fuel weight
5500 lbs
Max baggage weight
80 lbs
Max weight on glare shield
8.5 lbs
Max Descent touchdown rate (tire px 185+/- 5psi)
600 fpm (3.7 G)
Max Descent touchdown rate (tire px 225+/- 5 psi)
780 fpm (5.1 G)
Is it prohibited for the T6 to fly in sustained icing conditions?
Yes, only 5,000’ bands of light rime
Can you perform aerobatics after icing has occurred?
No, you must stop all aero and use 30 degree bank and 0-2 G, up to normal stall indications
If icing has occurred increase approach speed by?
10 Knots
