A

MD11 ENGINE OIL QUANTITY SHOULD INDICATE AT LEAST 17 QUARTS WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF SHUTDOWN.
MD10 ENGINE ALL QUANTITY: 12QTS DOMESTIC AND 16QTS INTL

IF PRE-START QUANTITY IS AT OR NEAR FULL INDICATION, MONITOR FOR OIL GULP. IF QUANTITY INDICATES:
MD11 GE / MD10 22 QUARTS OR MORE
MD11 PW 26 QUARTS OR MORE
AND THERE IS NO DROP (OIL GULP) AFTER THE ENGINE STABILIZES AT IDLE FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE MINUTE, SHUTDOWN THE ENGINE AND MAKE AN AML ENTRY. LACK OF OIL GULP DURING ENGINE START MAY INDICATE OVERSERVICING OF THE OIL SYSTEM.
