16
Q

When must wing anti ice be selected ON while on the ground?

A

Wing anti ice must be on for takeoff when OAT is below 5 degrees C, and there is any visible moisture present in the atmosphere, or if standing water, snow or slush has contaminated the runway. Do not hold in icing conditions with flaps and slats extended.

17
Q

When should wing anti-ice be selected on if Type II, III or IV fluids have been applied?

A

Immediately prior to advancing the throttles for takeoff.

18
Q

When must wing anti ice be selected ON while in flight?

A

If SAT is above -40 deg C, TAT is +10 deg C or less, and visible moisture is encountered, and airspeed is les than 230 kts, or if ICE is annunciated at any time.

19
Q

How can SLD icing be detected? What procedures should be followed if it is encountered?

A

Ice accretion on the cockpit side windows is an indicator of SLD icing. If encountered, wing and cowl anti ice must be selected ON, and every effort must be made to leave icing conditions. Continued operation in SLD icing conditions is prohibited.

20
Q

What is the MRW of the CRJ 700?

A

75,250 lbs.
