Q

What is the fuel limitation for Cruise (AD 2002-19-52)

A

NG - If more than 2000lbs in center tank, both center tank switches much be re-positioned to ON.

NG- Turn one center fuel pump switch to OFF during climb or cruise when center tank fuel quantity reaches approximately 2000 pounds. Open crossfeed to minimize imbalance. When MASTER CAUTION and FUEL lights illuminate, turn the remaining center tank fuel pump switch to off without delay and close CROSSFEED valve.

Center tank fuel pump switches must be selected to OFF when both center fuel pump low pressure lights illuminate.

Q

What are the circuit breaker limitations?

A

A tripped CB may only be reset once. Allow approximately 2 minutes for cooling before resetting. An in-flight reset should only be accomplished if in the judgement of the Captain, regaining use of that system is critical to the safe conduct of flight.

Flight crews must not reset tripped fuel quantity, fuel pumps or fuel pump control CB’s.

13
Q

What is the fuel limitation for descent (AD 2002-19-52)

A

NG- Turn on one center fuel pump switch OFF at beginning of descent if <3000lbs of fuel remain in center tank. Open CROSSFEED valve to minimize fuel imbalance. When MASTER CAUTION and FUEL system annunciation lights illuminate, turn the remaining center tank fuel pump OFF without delay and close X-feed.

If an extended period of level flight is required prior to approach & landing (holding) and fuel remains in center tank, a single center tank pump switch may be ON if both pumps were previously OFF. X-feed should be opened to prevent a fuel imbalance.

Q

What are the TCAS Limitations

A

Flight crews must immediately respond to TCAS information (both TA’s & RA’s) by using the TCAS guidelines located in the QRH Section P Non-Normal Maneuvers/Profiles.

Pilots are authorized to deviate from an ATC clearance to the extent necessary to comply with the RA

16
Q

After starting, what are the engine limitations for stabilization.

A

On the first flight of the day, operate engines at or near idle, after rollback, for a minimum of FIVE minutes prior to applying takeoff thrust.

Operate engines at or near idle, after rollback, for a MINIMUM of TWO minutes prior to applying Takeoff thrust.

17
Q

What is the fuel limitation for takeoff?

A

(CL) Center tank fuel pumps must be ON for takeoff with more than 1000lbs of fuel in the center tank.

NG- Both center tank fuel pump switches must be positioned OFF for Takeoff if the center tank fuel quantity is <5000lbs.

18
Q

What is the MAX altitude for operating the AP ELECTRIC ONLY in the NG?

A

41000ft

19
Q

What are the engine limitations after landing?

A

When operational conditions permit, engines should be idle for THREE minutes before shutdown.

Operate engines at idle for a MINIMUM of ONE minute prior to shutdown.

20
Q

What are the speedbrake limitations?

A
  • Do not use speedbrakes in flight below 1000ft AGL
  • In flight, do not extend the speedbrake lever beyond the flight detent.
  • In flight, do not extend the speedbrakes unless the flaps are fully retracted.
21
Q

What is the limitation on the alternate flaps?

A

Alternate flap duty cycle in flight is one complete cycle, then 5 minutes off. A complete cycle is movement from position from 0 to 15 and back to 0. The alternate flap switch must be in the OFF position for 15 seconds before reversing the direction of flap movement.

22
Q

What are the fuel distribution limitations?

A

Use center tank fuel to depletion followed by wing tank fuel.

1000lbs may be retained in the center tank provided the effects of balance have been considered.

23
Q

What is the MAX altitude for operating the APU BLEED AIR & ELECTRIC in the NG?

A

10,000ft

24
Q

What is the limitation on pack operations?

A

With engine bleed air switches ON, do not operate the air conditioning packs in HIGH for Takeoff, approach or landing.

25
Q

What is the MAX fuel tank temperature?

A

+49C

26
Q

What is the limitation for one generator?

A

NG- On the Ground, limit one generator operation (engine driven) to a maximum of 215 amps.

27
Q

What is the MAX Operating Altitude for the NG?

A

41,000ft

28
Q

What is the fuel limitation while on the ground at the gate?

A

Main tanks must be full if the center fuel tank quantity is >1000lbs.

For ground ops, center tank fuel pump switches must NOT be ON unless center tank quantity exceeds 1000lbs, except when defueling or transferring fuel.

Center tank fuel pumps must not be selected on unless personnel are available on the flight deck to monitor the low pressure lights.

Flight crews must not reset tripped fuel quantity, fuel pump, or fuel pump control CB’s.

29
Q

What is the limitation for a Circle to Land Approach Maneuver?

A

Wx minimums are 1000ft and a 3 mile visibility, unless approach charts specify higher.

Use a MDA of 1000ft above airport elevation unless restricted to a higher altitude in the circle-to-land minimum section on the approach chart.

30
Q

What is the limitation for the cargo bay?

A

Aircraft must land within 60 minutes after initial discharge of the fire suppression system (195 minutes for -800)

31
Q

What is the MAX operating altitude for the 300/500?

A

37,000ft

32
Q

What is the fuel limitation for the initial climb? (AD 2002-19-52)

A

NG- When the center tank fuel quantity is >2000lbs turn on both center tank fuel pump switches above 10,000ft or after reducing the pitch attitude to accelerate to 250 knots.

33

17,000ft

34
Q

A

17,000ft

35
Q

Are there any EGT limitations?

A

Max EGT for start is 725C. The EEC does not supply RED LINE protection but will shut down the engine if it overtemps.
