Lights And Switches Flashcards

1
Q

IR white align light
Steady
Flashing

A

Steady respective IR is in the alignment process
Flashing respective IR is
-Out of position by more than 1* from last known shut down position (60 nm)
-Aircraft moved during alignment process
-No position after 10 minutes during alignment process
-IR alignment fault during process

Q

ADR1 2 or 3 fault

A

Fault in associated air data reference computer
All three to off will give fast slow colored scale on speed tape and altitude will be read from GPS position with last two digits underlined to indicate its inaccuracy.

Q

FAC 1 or 2 Fault

A

FAC ‘s
-Flight envelope, speed tape fly tail
-Normal roll ( coordinating turns and dampening Dutch roll)
-Rudder trim
-Rudder travel limit
-Alternate Yaw
Fault simply a fault in the FAC. Fault light goes off when FAC is turned off

Q

Gen line 1
Off or
Smoke

A

Blower and extract will have fault lights as well shuts down .
gen 1 now has only 1 fuel pump from each fuel tank on it
In OFF POSITION IT DISCONNECTS GEN 1 from the rest of the electrical system except for one fuel pump in each wing. The ACBUS 1 is now powered by GEN 2
“SMOKE” in Amber indicates smoke detected in the avionics compartment and will remain on regardless of position until smoke is no longer detected

Q

RAT & EMERGENCY GEN fault light

A

Illuminates red fault when loss of ACBUS 1and 2 occurs and is not powered by the emergency generators.
Gives four screens pfd1 nd1 mcdu1 engine warning display fault displays momentarily while rat is deploying as well. Only fault light that is red! PFDs and MCDU only until emergency generator connects power then 4 screens

Q

RAT & EMER GEN Manual on (guarded switch)

A

Only 2 screens powered captain pfd and captain mcdu by battery until ram air turbine generates power (approx 8 secs) then 4 screens are powered PFDs ND EWD and MCDU. All on captain side BELOW 100 knots only have 2 screens lose DC ess bus
Opens blue hyd valve and also priority valve to emergency generator(unlike the hyd deploy button that is similar that gives no electric output) because that one only opens the hyd valve to blue system
On hot battery bus
Below 50kts screens drop off only have outflow valve and radios (vhf1) and APU fire protection

Engine fire push button

21212

A

Detection in both loops or one defect and other detects or both break within 5 secs of each other (21212) when power removed from FADEC it shuts off IDG return fuel .

(2) -Cancels repetitive chime
- Halon bottle squibs armed
(1) -Hyd Fire wall shut off valve closes
(2) -Fuel low pressure valve closed
- Idg return fuel shut off thru FADEC power supply removal
(1) -Corresponding generator (gen 2 ) is deactivated
(2) -Pack 2 flow valve is closed
- Engine 2 bleed valve closed

Q

PTU Hyd button

A

Can be looked at as confirmation light for reservoir problems in eng 1/2hyd pumps. If one of those fault lights on and the PTU fault comes on as well, it is a res problem
Also PTU is inhibited during takeoff 2 minutes or below 1500 AGL
