what are gobos for - lighting
- gobos can be used to create shapes with light. These are metal frames that are placed in front of a light source.
- the frames have shapes cut into them so that when light projected the outlined shaped will create forms and will be seen in the stage floor/ walls.
what are gels for - lighting
- the colour of the light can be altered using lighting gels (thin pieces of coloured plastic that are placed over the lantern).
- this can create different effects and moods on the play.
what is a backlit for? - lighting
Light coming from the behind action.
this can create a silhouette.
what is a crossfade for? - lighting
one lighting state fades down and another fades up (without darkness)
