Utilising light that is available to you.
Manipulated using bounce boards and flags.

Hard Light
A
Usually from a direct source that creates shadows and silhouettes. Can bring attention to something important.

Bounce Light
A
Literally bouncing light off onto another object. Used to diffuse harsh light sources.
Softens light to create a natural look and reduces shadow

Three Point Lighting
A
Key Light near camera on front of subject.
Back light adjacent to key. Seperates subject from background.
Fill light making the triangle- softens shadows created by key. Softer and less intense than key.
