LIST the three types of lighting systems
The lighting system consists of the normal lighting system, the essential lighting system and the emergency light system
DESCRIBE the design basis for each lighting system
The normal lighting system is designed to provide sufficient illumination to permit normal plant operation and maintenance functions and comprises ~ 85% of lighting in the plant
The essential lighting system is designed to permit orderly plant shutdown following a loss of offsite power and comprises ~ 15% of lighting in the plant
The emergency lighting system is designed to permit operation in the Control Room and egress from other areas of the plant following a loss of the normal and essential lighting systems
LIST the sources of power for the essential and emergency lighting panels upon a loss of power.
Normal lighting is fed from the plant nonessential buses.
Essential lighting is powered by the diesel generator fed buses to provide continued on site lighting following a LOP.
8-hour battery-powered emergency lighting is provided for the areas which are needed for operation of safe shutdown equipment and for access and egress routes thereto
STATE the location of the emergency lighting panel and inverter for Control room emergency fluorescent lights
Located in Mech Room where CBA air conditioning units are
