What is sound?
It is a form of energy caused by vibration. It travels in waves
What is pitch?
It is how low or high a sound is
What is volume?
It is how loud or quiet a sound is
What is amplitude?
It is the size(height)of the vibrations
What is frequency?
It is the number of waves per second
How can you show quiet sound?
Low amplitude
How do you show a loud sound?
High amplitude
How do you show low pitch?
Long wavelength/low frequency
How do you show high pitch?
Short wavelength/high frequency
What does absorb mean?
If a material absorbs then it takes in the sound’s energy and does not let it out. Soft materials absorb sound
What is transmitted?
If a material transmits sound, this means that it lets energy pass through it
What is reflected?
If a material reflects sound, this means that sound is reflected from something
What are the primary colours of light?
Red, green, blue
What are the secondary colours of light?
Magenta, yellow, cyan
