Q

State the Laws of Reflection.

A

1, The angle of reflection is equal to the angle of incidence.

Q

Explain how a full water bottle can act as a convex lens to start a fire.

A

The water bottle can focus using the sun rays and concentrating them, with enough intensity and heat it can start a fire.

6
Q

State the Laws of Refraction.

A
  1. When light enters an optically denser medium the refracted ray will bend towards the normal.
  2. When light enters an optically less dense medium the refracted ray will bend away from the normal.

17
Q

State parts of the human eye and their uses.

A

Sclera: Protects the eyeball from serious damage and maintains its shape.

Pupil: A hole through which light can enter the eye and lets light strike the retina.

Iris: Surrounds the pupil. It controls how much light enters the eye by changing the size of the pupil.

Cornea: Covers the iris and the pupil, it also refracts and bends light.

Lens: Helps to focus light and images onto your retina.

Retina: Receive light that the lens has focused and convert it into neural signals, sending these signals to the brain for visual recognition.
