LifeEvac auto launch policy
LE AC will autolaunch for distances over 20nm
LifeEvac Scene request LZ location by asking:
For nearby intersection or address - asking for a nearby City may put you miles away from where the scene is
When taking requests from Northampton county for LifeEvac, what 3 things do you need to be aware of?
1) Look at the Area code. 252 is Northampton County NC. 757 is Northampton County VA. This will make a difference in both what policy needs to be followed AND which AC will be closest
2) North Carolina air medical requests MUST come through a competing service as a mutual aid request.
3) Northampton County NORTH CAROLINA scene requests should use North Carolina State Fire for GC. Ask that crews use this freq during intake process
LifeEvac pt acceptance policy
Advise aircraft if acceptance is confirmed at time of toning AC. LE aircraft may launch for interfacility without confirmed acceptance AT CREW DISCRESSION, will NOT make pt contact without acceptance.
LifeEvac balloon pump policy
LE 1 & LE 3 able to do these requests. LE 2 unable due to AC configuration
LifeEvac LVAD flights policy
ALL 3 LE aircraft can do LVAD if device is PORTABLE
LifeEvac Neonatal flight policy
LifeEvac WILL NOT DO NEONATAL FLIGHTS
LifeEvac pediatric flight policy
ALL 3 LifeEvac aircraft can do NON-SPECIALTY TEAM pediatric flights with pedi pod at base. NONE OF THE LifeEvac AIRCRAFT do Specialty team pediatric transports

All 3 LifeEvac aircraft can do OB flights
LifeEvac organ transplant flights
This is crews discretion, uncommon request
