Xanthelasma

Associated with Hyperlipidemia arcus.
infiltrates of eyelid due to lipid in dermis.
Normal Lashes
Clear, free of debris
Several rows of lashes along the lid margin
Abnormal Lashes
- Misdirection (Trichiasis)
- Any debris or crusting of lashes
- Madarosis
- Tricholilomania

Abnormal lashes finding
Misdirected lashes; turn in toward cornea (lid is in correct apposition against the globe)
