Pharmacist application fee

Valid visa for full time employment
NABP Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee
NAPLEX/ MPJE scores ≥ 75
Complete ≥ 1440 internship hours (hours in foriegn country do not count)
BOP may waive these requirements for public health/safety
CE requirements for 1 renewal period (New Grads)
7 hours of Pain management within 1st 24 months of initial license renewal, 1 hour is specific to OR provided by the pain management commission
Min. 2 hours in pharmacy/ drug law
Min. 2 hours in patient safety/ medication error prevention
special CE requirements apply to transfer/reciprocity applicants
Does not apply to pharmacists applying for the first renewal of their license if they have not been licensed by the Board for at least one year prior to July 1 of the renewal period
Health Professionals Service Program
Program in OR to assist pharmacists that are impaired due to drug abuse or mental health ailments. Pharmacists may refer themselves or may be referred by the BoP. They must participate for a minimum of 2 year
Pharmacist license renewal period
biennial, no later than June 30th on ODD years
Pharmacy intern license foreign grads
Licensure required, copy of valid visa, copy of Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination Committee (FPGEC), and provide evidence of passing Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL)

Pharmacy intern license renewal period

Pharmacy technician defined as
Has not completed a training program, is at least 18yo and has high school diploma or GED
One time licensure by BOP that expires within 2 years (NO renewal allowed)
Technicians must obtain certification within 2 years or by the 2nd June 30th (whichever is sooner) after registering as a technician with the board
Certified Pharmacy technician defined as
Has completed a training program
Licensed by BOP, able to be renewed
Certified technician checker defined as
Has completed qualifications of certified tech but works in a hospital (with at least 1 year of experience) and has completed additional technician checker validation process
The technician checker validation is certified by the facility
CE hours for technician license renewal
20 hours
Specific CE requirements for Technicians
2 hours in pharmacy law
2 hours in patient safety/ error prevention
16 hours in other training approved by the board
